‘The Fix’ moves the ‘Heroes’ plot along

Is it too early to get excited about the addition of Claude last night on “Heroes”?
His whole Fagin bit, as “Heroes” creator Tim Kring called it in an interview with “Sci-Fi”:http://www.scifi.com/sfw/interviews/sfw14850.html, was really a nice touch. Peter seemed off balance dealing with The Invisible Man. The way the episode  titled “The Fix”  ended that plotline, with Claude shielding Peter from his pursuing brother, was really well done. I’m definetly primed for the next episode  where at least from the teasers  looks to put our fledgling supers in some real hot water.
Also high on my list was the evolution of Claire last night. The saved cheerleader looks ready to hit the road in search of her real parents. I can’t wait for her inevitable showdown with her adopted father/Mr. Bennett (Horned Rimmed Glasses or HRG as “Heroes” fans have dubbed him). Most of all, I can’t wait for Claire to get into the “Heroes” mind set that some of the other characters are already in …. like Peter and Hiro. It’s time to start saving the world people!
But maybe the showdown that I’m antsy to see is going to have to wait a few episodes. It looks like HRG has his hands full with the freed super serial killer Sylar. I’m pumped for the show’s only real baddie to cause some mayhem and tension.
This brings me to some bummers from last night  where the ham was out of the fridge and held firmly in the director’s fist. Did anyone jump when Sylar’s eyes popped open when he was declared dead. Heck, no. Maybe the big fat closeup of his eyeball gave it away? Maybe?
And I can’t stand the Nikki/Jessica/Mycah/D.L. storyline. Give me a break … the single father melodrama is just a wee bit weak. But then again I’m not real touchy feely when it comes to my television. (Hey, I’m not totally hardhearted … I cried like a total sap during “Eight Below.” “Eight Below”! I’m totally ashamed.)
Lastly, I usually can’t get enough of Hiro’s highminded quest to save the world (and now regain his powers), but after reading so much about Star Trek veteran George Takei joining the cast for an episode arc as Hiro’s pop … I saw where the whole abduction bit was going.
Oh, well. If that’s the least that happens as a Remote Access blogger, then so be it.
Also, if you haven’t checked out NBC’s new more accessible Web site for “Heroes.” Check it out “here.”:http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/

This episode was a little flat, in my opinion. I sort of feel like the four-week layoff killed a lot of momentum the show had. But if momentum is as good as your next episode, to steal a baseball cliche, then maybe it’s something else. Let’s hope things do heat up a bit. I’d like more action, less drama with all the storylines.
By the way, Sylar really scares the heck out of me, though I agree the eyeball closeup kind of squelched any suspense.
