So, laughmeister Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob, etc.) will direct “Reaper,” the CW’s pilot about a 21-year-old slacker who becomes a bounty hunter for Satan.
Now I’m really interested in seeing it. This is Smith’s first foray into the world of television.
Next, Rachel Nichols (of the last season of “Alias”) has been cast in the Fox pilot “Them”. This one’s brought to us by BSG’s David Eick.
This one’s about an extraterrestrial sleeper cell and she plays a woman who works for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. The director, Jonathan Mostow, was responsible for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, which, despite what many people thought of it, I liked. Of course, I was recovering from giving birth at the time (on VHS, in the hospital), so I may not have been in my right mind.
