‘Idol’ semifinals: The over/under game

With four-plus seasons’ worth of “American Idol” viewing from which to draw, I’m setting over/unders for tonight’s episode, which features the Top 12 guys.
Remember, these are for novelty purposes only, so as North Salem resident David Letterman might say, “No wagering.” Also, take into account the fact that tonight’s episode is two hours long.
•Number of times Simon Cowell is booed: 10
•Number of times Simon Cowell uses the word “dreadful”: 3
•Number of times Randy Jackson references his “dog pound” or someone as “dog”: 5 (or 35, if you’re canine).
•Number of times Paula Abdul touches Simon while on camera: 7
•Number of times Paula Abdul touches a male contestant while on camera: 2
•Number of Ford Edge commercials: 5
•Number of times I throw a sock, pillow or crumpled napkin at the TV because of said commercials: 2

•Number of seconds Blake Lewis uses to demonstrate his beat-box skills (old footage doesn’t count): 6
•Number of judges approving of Sundance Head’s performance: 2

•Number of guys removing an article of clothing during song to evoke squeals from crowd: 1
•Number of songs in which words are forgotten: 3
•Number of times a contestant slips or falls: 1
•Number of minutes that pass before I stop counting all of these items: 80

i don’t know, chris. i’m gonna have to challenge this one. (red flag on the field!) i think some of your counts were off. (such as number of times finalists are mentioned and number of times randi says “dog.”) we have it TiVoed and might have to go back for a replay!
