Well, in that case …

Since Heather’s KOed with a wee touch of the flu …
I spent 2 hours getting caught up on “Lost” last night. I watched the new ep and then adjourned to the homeoffice to watch the Hugo episode a week ago on “ABC.com.”:www.abc.go.com Verdict? Two hours well spent.
Now although my usual assignment here on Remote Access is supposed to be “Heroes” (I’ve been slacking big time on that) I’ll take the time to sound off in Heather’s stead.
This week was a good one for both shows. The “Heroes” episode was maybe the best one of the series with great special effects, super twists and finally some explanation, same goes for last night’s “Lost.”
And even better, the “Lost” castaways didn’t get mopped up by the island natives. If you’re a fan of the show you know that the castaways always get there butts kicked. It’s just a fact of life on the beach. Live in the sand, get your lucnh money pinched. But last night, which was a great Sayid episode (and those are usually some of the best), Kate, Locke and Sayid held they’re own against newcomer Mikhail.
As it turns out Mikhail was working a farm in the center of the island and when he intoduced himself as the last survivor of the Dharma Initiative … well, I was glued. Sayid took a bullet for his troubleput it was JUST A FLESH WOUND! Mikhal turns out to be just another one of the lying Others, but he did give up some mythology when he described the Others as being on the island long before the Dharma group. Hmmmm? Is the truth out there? Hard to tell with “Lost.”
My boss Bob Heisler told me that that exchange between the Russian and the Others’ Klugh (she cut the deal with Michael to get him and Walt off the island) was translated in about 30 minutes after the show. Here’s the text from a comment off “Newsvine.com”:http://stevencwatts.newsvine.com/_news/2007/03/08/603803-lost-in-the-vines-enter-77
Klugh: Mikhail. Mikhail! You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way [out].
Klugh: We cannot risk. You know the conditions.
Mikhail: There is another way.
Klugh: They captured us. We will not give (or let, or betray) [unintelligible].
Klugh: You know what to do. It is an order.
Mikhail: We still have another way!
Klugh (in English): Just do it, Mikhail.
Mikhail: Forgive me. (shoots)
Of course, it wouldn’t be “Lost” is one of the characters wasn’t acting completely goofy.
Here’s an idea, when you’re holding a captive (as was the case with Locke and Mikhail last night) maybe you shouldn’t let your prisoner out of your sight to play Chessmaster3000. Just a thought. Locke and his computers … man., he just can’t get enough of the old Commodore 64.
Now Heather’s already written about this, but i thought I’d throw in my two cents … I loved the Hurley episode a few weeks back. “Roger was on a beer run.” Love that. And I must say that besides watching David Ortiz knock bombs out of Fenway on MLB.com … watching Hugo and Charlie pop the clutch on the Dharma bus at the last second was one of the most uplifting moments I’ve ever watched on my Mac … it helps that I have a couch wedged in there, but enough about me.
As for “Heroes,” well I’m glad it’s on break til April 23 … maybe by then I’ll care about what happens to the super weanies.
