The tides of March

Tomorrow being the Ides of March, I thought we needed a special “Rome”:http://hbo.com blog, since Julius Caesar was assassinated on that date in 44 B.C. (Of course, that was under a different calendar. But hey, there’s no point in being persnickety when you’re trying to make a broader point.)
With two episodes to go, this seems to be as good a time as any to do a little speculating on the fates of our two fictional heroes: Whither Pullo and Vorenus? Will the ancient world’s Butch and Sundance be able to ride off into the sunset? (Come to think of it, they didn’t make very good ends.) Or will their respective loyalties to mortal enemies lead to tragedy?
I’m betting on the latter, since Vorenus has gone off with Antony to Egypt (and Cleopatra) while Pullo has stayed home to face the music (and Octavian).
This could be the end of a beautiful friendship.
