Betty gets a second season

The braintrust at ABC is smart enough to know a good thing whe they have it. The network has announced 10 early season pick-ups, according to Mediaweek, and Betty was among the crowd. Considering the others shows on the renewal list were Wife Swap and America’s Funniest Home Videos, I’d say she’s way, WAY above the crowd.
