Tonight we again face a repeat: “Don’t Stand So Close To Me,� first aired November 30. Next Thursday, however, we get a change of pace when Mr. (not Dr.) McDreamy, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is the on-camera host of a retrospective of the series. To show you how much Morgan was a fan favorite, the producers chose him, NOT one of the regulars, to guide us through.
I’m glad my lament of last weekâ€â€that Denny’s stint was over following his after-life scenes with Meredith and uptight Bomb Squad Guyâ€â€was wrong. I was also happily incorrect in assuming that since Morgan’s character on the WB’s “Supernaturalâ€? had expired we’d never see him again either. Never say never on a show with a called “Supernatural!â€? One more thing about Morgan, and then I’ll shut up about him: “Entertainment Weeklyâ€? reports that his ABC drama about a war correspondent, also from “Grey’sâ€? creator Shonda Rhimes, is simply on the backburner, not on the blacklist.
Over on NBC tonight, however, you’ll find a new “30 Rock.� The Peacock net reports that it just gave it an early renewal for next season. I don’t understand the huge appeal of the show, but those who do should be very excited with that bit of information.
