I knew that would get your attention.
No, I have no inside information that says that is so. I do, however, have this from an article by David Hochman of TV Guide that says:
We could tell you more. Like that someone you thought was long dead is coming back with a vengeance (yes, it’s true) or that at least one couple get to have a happy ending (no it’s not Cheng and Jack).
The article came out a couple of weeks ago, but I confess that I missed it. The same article spoils that a major character is going to die, but that was probably Skippy Pressman from last week.
According to Isabelle of Spoilerfix.com, she repeats that a lot of fans believe it is Tony.
As my new friends, the nutsy-cuckoo boys over at The Jack Sack, Blogs4Bauer and Riding With Rickey (not to forget the lovely Mrs. Henderson at RwR), have pointed out so many times, Tony never got the silent clock treatment when he died. A few weeks ago, I would have said they were batty for thinking Tony’s still alive. We saw him die, didn’t we? But this is “24,” so anything’s possible.
So now, make room for me on the bandwagon. Tony’s alive. He’s coming back, and coming back soon. I just hope it’s tonight, as I’m hosting the Carnival of Bauer this week, and that would so rock.

I really hope that is true. I have been saying for a long time that 24 got out of control with their killing off of strong characters. The constant turnover of the cast makes it hard to have any attachment with any of these characters. It’s one thing to let fans know that you are willing to kill off anybody .. its another thing to just kill everybody just for the sake of it.
Tony was my favorite 24 character besides Jack … and the show really hasn’t been the same without him.

No worries amy. I do remember that they didnt give him the silent clock treatment. But they did clearly wrap him up in a bodybag. I guess all we really have to do is watch the opening credits for carlos bernard’s name.
Note to 24 producers: If you want us to be surprised by a guest star’s appearance, then you should find a way to not put the actor’s name in the opening credits. Raise your hand if you were surprised to see papa bauer after seeing james cromwell’s name in the opening credits.
I know, Tony makes the most sense in that 24-not-making-any-sort-of-sense kind of way.
That’s quite true about the opening credits. Same with Kim Raver’s name in the opening credits a few hours ago. At least we only have this week and next to find out the truth.
It’ll also be interesting to see if bill buchanan pops up again.
I’m trying to think of any other character from the past that could show up if they aren’t talking about tony.
Chase edmunds maybe?

I will say this- Tony coming back will be a bright spot for Chicago Cubs fans everywhere.
Yes, yes, yes! Too long have I tolerated Ms. Henderson telling me to “let it go” and that “Tony’s not coming back.” Having just started watching 24 during the sixth season, she could never understand the man-crush most 24 nuts have on Tony. Or she’s just scared/concerned, either way…
If Tony’s coming back, it’ll be during the last 30 seconds of the season finale. Tony shows up in a Delorian, tells Jack that in the future, their kids are messed up, that something has to be done, then they zoom off into the screen. Roll titles. And Rickey will rise from his couch and, much to Ms. Henderson’s horror, dance the dance of jubilation.
Or the surprise character could just be Christopher Henderson and I’ll cry myself to sleep instead.
I’ve read that Bill is back either tonight or next week. He helps Jack in the field. James Morrison (the actor who plays Bill, not the dead singer) said in an interview that he was jazzed to have some scenes where he’s not in a suit at CTU, but rather doing something instead.
As for Henderson (Christopher, not Rickey), I honestly hadn’t even freakin’ thought of that. That would totally bite. Even more than if it were Milo.
Funny you say that about the last 30 seconds of the finale  the spoilers going around do have something about a car in the final seconds, but it’s not a DeLorean. I would say more about it, but it’s totally spoiler-y and I wish I didn’t even know about it.
Yeah I think we’ve both heard the same thing about the ending Amy. It could easily be wrong though—remember how the filmed the multiple endings for the finale of season 1?
This is true. I’ve actually stopped reading most spoilers. I’ve seen some that purport to be thoroughly detailed plot points of the entire final two episodes, but I stopped myself. I want to enjoy the show, u know?
Oh … robocop returns!
That would be pretty sweet.
How about edgar rising from the dead to sweep chloe off her feet now that she got dissed by that english dude.
Or it’s Edgar’s mother, who we’ve never actually seen and assumed perished in the radation fallout in season 5.
Or, the ultimate coup de gras would be Nina Myers.
OMG, if it’s Nina, that would be over the top, even for 24. I might actually have a brain aneurysm right there and then, dropping dead in front of my TV.
In that vein, what about Victor Drazen?
Oh, and as much as I and many other 24-philes would looooove it if Edgar were not dead, I don’t believe he’s alive. He did get the silent clock treatment, and he was definitely, positively dead. Sigh. I’d be quite happy to see him alive again. He’s probably the most beloved portly, balding, nerdy guy in television history.
I dunno…they zipped up Tony in a body bag. Unless the medical staff at CTU are as inept as the security, I have to say that Tony is dead. Sorry to pee on your parade.
They could have thrown him in the bag prematurely. They do that all the time! On 24! Right? Who cares how they explain it- just bring Tony back!
All I know is that stranger things have happened. No silent clock was a big misstep if it was just a mistake. Maybe they were trying to tell us something. Maybe Tony’s vitals were just so incredibly slowed that they thought he was dead. Maybe CTU medical IS as inept as their security. Maybe maybe maybe. At least it’s only this week and next that we have to wait.
You call this proof or a scoop? It’s just a re-cap of what else is out there. If you are going to suggest that it is Tony, have evidence. You just got their hopes up.

I never called it proof, nor a scoop. It’s wishful thinking. It at least gives us all something to look forward to in this godawful season.
i dont think its nina or robocop as jack shot them more then once and they seem to be quiet dead, the doubts would be about tony as he got injected by robocop so that could be a doubt, i also think it could be mandy but ur rite about the tony never got the silent clock maybe thats a sign who knows.
The choices are Nina, Tony or former President Logan. I think it is most likely Logan who returns!!!
I don’t think it’s Logan, as I read somewhere (where, I can’t remember) that the show’s creators insisted that Logan is indeed dead.
It could be Nina. She has more lives than a cat. But let’s keep the faith alive, folks. Just a few more hours and we know for sure!
All signs are saying tony.It would seem that tony almeida had been working with henderson way before day 5.Reports have suggested that tony will recruite jack as some type of special opps.It seems season 7 of 24 will be based around this kinda like the unit.It seems Jack and tony will be definates for season 7 however we will bareley if ever see the rest of the cast.The producers have no reason to bring any season regurlars back.It has been clamed the producers biggest mistakes were to bring old characters back but only for a brief period teasing the audience even more.Despite this i still believe season 6 was a strong season compared to previous seasons.Role on season finale.

Last night sucked big rotten eggs.
tony yay bring him back! him and jack fighting bad ass again!!!!!!! there was no proof of tony’s death he may have wanted to be presumed dead after the loss of beloved michelle =[ ( if jack can die and be revived so can tony!)he and jack could be on a revenge mission on the US gov.soooo glad chloe is back she could be their inside mole!!!!! =] after how many times she has been arrested for helping jack, the only person who knows anything about stopping terroists, she could join them in infiltration the US goverment. + come on reunite jack and audrey!!! i dont think it will be henderson or nina they were both shot (more than once) (nina awsome villian by the way)i thought logan was a bit of a weener is season 4 but what a cool villain he turned out to be!!!
poor jack i dont think there is any element of suprise. meaning that everyone knows who he is and what he is capable of, he will kill anyone to get the job done. (R.I.P. curtis)

Tony is not dead because that wasnt a body bag that they put him in.It was just a plastic blanket that looked like one.I dont know what THE MAN is talking about there was no zipper on this bag.Your not the 24 fanatic like me.I also read the books of 24.So Tony is back for sure.The question is who is he good or bad?
