In ’n’ Out at “Private Practice

July

Looks like Addison’s BFF (best friend forever) in the series’ pilot was just her BFFN (best friend for now). This according to “TV Guide supersleuth Michael Ausiello. Actress Merrin Dungey played Dr. Naomi Bennett in the “Grey’s Anatomy episode/“Private Practice spin-off.

Now, though, Broadway sensation—and four-time Tony winner—Audra McDonald will be stepping into Dungey’s role as Addison’s confidante, coworker and longtime friend. Perhaps the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, will somehow be able to wangle a bit of McDonald’s lovely singing voice in there somehow? We can only hope!

And over on the “Grey’s front, says Ausiello, the fourth-season premiere will be called “A Change Is Gonna Come. Tell that to Isaiah Washington!
