Veronica Mars on ‘Lost’?

August
9

That’s right! Looks like everyone’s favorite TV teen sleuth may be headed to the island.

There’s been lots of “Lost” casting rumors flying about this week, but this one may actually be true.  Kristen Bell—the ex-star of the recently-canceled “Veronica Mars”—has been approached about becoming the show’s latest castaway, according to “TV Guide.”:http://www.tvguide.com/Ask-Ausiello/070815

Bell would likely play Charlotte, a chatty, funny academic that “Lost” theorists think would be part of a group of scientists aboard Naomi’s boat (who will presumably be coming ashore in the new season).

Perhaps Bell will put some of those detecting skills to work on solving some of the island mysteries.

And speaking of this new group of smarty-pants island-dwellers …
Remember earlier this week when “I told you”:http://remote.lohudblogs.com/2007/08/06/lost-casting-update/ that “Prison Break” actor Peter Stomare might be joining the cast, too?

Well, despite the fact that Stomare supposedly told a Swedish newspaper that he was considering a role that was offered to him, the producers of the show say that’s not true.

“Entertainment Weekly”:http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20050425,00.html asked the producers about this, and the rumor that Oscar winner Forest Whitaker would be doing a two-episode stint. (Also not true, they say.)

But one person who we know has DEFINITELY been hired (or re-hired) is Harold Perrineau, who’ll be returning as Michael.

Here’s “an interview with Perrineau”:http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20050265,00.html about how the deal to bring him back went down.

And check out the part where they ask him who he thinks was in the coffin in the season finale. He says he doesn’t know, but his thinking seems pretty on target to me!

WALLLLT!!!!

  1. Chris Serico

Kristen Bell is really talented and is one of my favorite TV crushes. Adding to her appeal is an excellent, but brief, stint of hers as a nomadic con artist on “Deadwood.”

You wouldn’t think I’d let a “Deadwood” reference pass me by, did you, Heather?

  2. Heather Salerno

Chris, you’re obsessed! But who am I to talk?

And here’s some more KB scoop: She’s also the narrator of the new, buzzed-about CW soap, “Gossip Girl,” which kicks off on Sept. 19.

Alas, we’ll only get to hear Ms. Bell as the voice of GG—that’s what they’re saying for now, anyway…

  3. Adam (The Jack Sack)

I may start watching this show!

  4. Watch Veronica Mars

I like to watch Veronica Mars episodes as well Lost. I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
