Five new hires for ‘Lost’

So we’ve been “telling you”:http://remote.lohudblogs.com/2007/08/29/lost-adds-fifth-cast-member/ all about the “new cast members”:http://remote.lohudblogs.com/2007/08/23/lost-recruits-more-cast-members/ of “Lost” as info’s been coming in—in the hopes that it would give us some clues about the upcoming season!
And now our intrepid pals over “Entertainment Weekly”:http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20053863,00.html cornered the show’s lead producers to ask about their sneaky casting process.
Apparently, the descriptions of the characters that’s been leaked aren’t necessarily true; even the actors reading for the parts audition with fake scenes and fake character names to maintain secrecy. (Those Losties are such smarty-pants!)
Anyway, I don’t know whether this interview sheds any light on what island action we should expect. As I said, the producers are pretty crafty.
But I did learn something new that’s not “Lost”-related.
Who knew Jeff Fahey – from “Grindhouse” and “Lawnmower Man”—was setting up ORPHANAGES around the world?
I like Fahey already, even if I don’t know whether he’ll play Jacob or not…
