The SyFy Portal is reporting the break between the first and second halves of the fourth and final season of Battlestar Galactica may not be as long as first thought. It could be a year, or it could be a month, the site reported today.
Producer David Weddle told SyFy Portal’s Michael Hinman:
We were told that SciFi was thinking about splitting the final season, but we do not know how long the gap in that split will be. As far as I know, SciFi has not decided yet. The SciFi Channel executives are the only ones who will be able to answer that question, once they’ve arrived at a decision.
Weddle and writing partner Bradley Thompson wrote the season premiere and a two-parter that will be the mid-season finale and mid-season premiere (think Season 3, which was split in half, the first 10 or so starting in October (September? I can’t remember; that’s a loong time ago and my memory’s just not that good anymore) and restarting in late January (that’s accurate; I looked it up on this blog.)
Cross your fingers.
