We Heart Parker Posey!

Imagine my shrieks of delight when I learned that my favorite “Party Girl” Parker Posey was set to star in her very first TV series since her short stint as Tess Shelby on “As the World Turns.”
And yes, I fully realize that little tidbit shows I know WAY too much about the girl…)
Anyway, imagine those shrieks of delight amplified tenfold when I learned that Miss Posey—a Purchase College grad—was teaming up with the creator of the much-beloved “Gilmore Girls.”
Whoo hoo!
Yes, Parker will be the leading lady in FOX’s midseason sitcom, “The Return of Jezebel James,” by executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino.
She’ll play Sarah, a children’s book editor distressed by the news that she can’t get pregnant. So she reunites with her estranged sister, Coco, played by Lauren Graham of “Six Feet Under”—the news gets better and better!—in the hopes that Sis will carry her baby.
NOW imagine how excited I got at hearing the news that Dianne Wiest—who won an Oscar for her “don’t speak” role in one of my favorite movies, “Bullets Over Broadway”—is coming on board to play the sisters’ mom.
WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOO!
Whew.
OK, now that I’ve gotten over my hysteria, I managed to download a clip from the show. Even though it doesn’t start until the spring, I thought y’all might like a sneak peek.
Enjoy!
