The LoHud area will be well-represented at tonight’s Emmy Awards (8 p.m., FOX), with no less than a half-dozen actors with local ties nominated for TV’s biggest honor.
Go here to read my story in today’s Journal News about who I think will win—and who SHOULD win—in the major categories.
But just keep scrolling to check out the list of locals to root for when those envelopes are opened…
Here’s our list of locals up for Emmy Awards tonight, along with their LoHud connections:
* Edie Falco, “The Sopranos,” Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. (She’s a Purchase College graduate.)
* Felicity Huffman, “Desperate Housewives,” Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. (She was born in Bedford. Fun fact: She’s married to fellow nominee William H. Macy, who’s up for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for his turn in “Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King”  Umney’s Last Case)
* Vanessa Williams, “Ugly Betty,” Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. (She’s a Chappaqua resident.)
* Lorraine Bracco, “The Sopranos,” Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. (She’s a longtime Sneden’s Landing homeowner.)
* Michael Imperioli, “The Sopranos,” Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. (He grew up in Mount Vernon and Brewster.)
* Kevin Dillon, “Entourage,” Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. (He was born and raised in Mamaroneck.)
* Aidan Quinn, “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,” Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. (He lives in Sneden’s Landing. Fun fact: He’s married to Elizabeth Bracco, the sister of fellow nominee, Lorraine!)
Congratulations, LoHudders—and good luck!
