But you’re gonna freak out when you read this, if you’re a fan of 24.
This time it’s true.
Season 7 premieres Jan. 13 and 14 and Tony returns then. Here’s the Fox press release:
With CTU dismantled, the show’s setting moves to Washington, D.C., where Jack Bauer faces trial for his actions in the pursuit of justice. Bauer’s day gets off to a shocking start when former colleague Tony Almeida (played by Carlos Bernard), last seen in Day 5, returns after being left for dead by a terrorist conspirator in CTU’s infirmary.
Executive producer Howard Gordon had this to say about it, according to TVGuide.com:
Tony’s uncertain fate… left the door open for his return. And since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of his last appearance  the 24 tribute to a major character’s demise  we always kept this as a possibility.
I know some fans who are just going to be plotzing at the idea of Tony returning. I am, too. This is the best news about Season 7. For all of us who’ve kept the faith, we are about to be rewarded.

Wouldn’t you hate to get that jury notice in the mail…
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
You just blew Rickey’s mind.
Uncertain my ass. He is very dead since years. Even on the official site they can read it. I’m so angry and pissed about this. It’s such an insult to the fan base.
Hahahahah! Next thing you know Mike Novic will be president!
They need to bring Tony back so he can kill Jack Bauer in an epic battle at the end of the series.
In another surprise twist, not only is David Palmer alive, but he and Christopher Henderson are gay lovers. Yes, its true.
Also, Mike Novic is NOT President- but this season Chloe will become President Frumpy Pants. Rumors abound that her Vice President will be Steven Saunders (he was American all along), who will be overthrown by a revitalised Charles Logan. Hal Gardner will be Speaker of the House.
Erin Driscoll will be Director of National Intelligence, Wayne Palmer will be an annoying activist, following in his annoying sister’s footsteps, and Keith Palmer will be Secretary of Agriculture.
Nadia Yassir, in a stunning turn of events, will be playing a two-bit prostitute.
Milo isn’t dead, either. It was a set-up- he was working with the Chinese.
Philip Bauer isn’t dead- he’s actually Submariner. He has the breathing capabilities of a school of fish. Graeme Bauer is alive and working as a ninja teaching karate in a suburban Los Angeles middle school.
Optimus Prime will be making a special guest appearance. Terrorists try to seize the All-Spark Cube and Jack can only stop them by teaming up with the leader of the Autobots. Megatron is working with Islamic fundamentalists.
As President, Chloe is working with Ghost Writer, the Green Lantern, Mario, Luigi, Princess Zelda and Leonardo AND Donetello. Their EXACT roles are unknown.
Nadia also emits a foul, noxious odor- oh wait, she did that during the last season, too!
Karl’s coming back, too. He’s the head of Secret Service.
Oh, and Audrey is a Decepticon/cross-dresser.

Tony’s profile lists him as deceased
I HATE that they Killed Michelle Dessler and Tony,
nun of them deserved what they RECEIVED! I Hope that they make this season the best so far, by bringing back Tony.
