Is the number 6 a ‘Lost’ clue?

Those crafty folks over at “Lost” sure do know how to fuel fans’ interest—even though it’s a long, long wait until the show resurfaces for Season 4 in February.
Over the weekend, ABC began running a promo for the show to honor the “anniversary” of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 (Sept. 22, 2004). The clever catchphrase? “LOST. But Not Forgotten.”
But that’s not the big news: As the eagle-eyes over at BuddyTV.com point out, there was a hidden image in the last frame of the commercial—appropriate, given the “Easter eggs” (or clues) that appear in nearly every episode.
The image was of the number 6, which has some thinking that means “Lost” will return on Weds., Feb. 6.
No one knows for sure just yet, but here’s one thing we do know: The flash-forward future we glimpsed of Jack and Kate in the season finale is definite. (You know, Jack’s a suicidal boozer; Kate’s got a significant other, as well as lots of lipstick and glossy hair products.)
BuddyTV was nice enough to summarize a podcast by the show’s dynamic duo—producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof—that was posted on ABC’s website last week. The futuristic tidbit was the podcast’s most significant info, which sort of signals a darker turn for the series somewhere down the road (if that’s even possible!).
I can’t believe I’m saying this as I’m savoring this fabulous Indian summer we’re having, but … I can’t wait for February!!! That island mojo will keep us warm on those cold, winter nights…

Geez, is it winter yet? I’ve never hoped to rush through Fall and the holidays as much as I am this year!
I guess we’ll see if it’s a Feb. 6 clue or the first of many clues leading up to season 4.
