Here’s the Wednesday premiere ratings, via The Hollywood Reporter:
Bionic Woman lost in total ratings to the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice, but in the key “demo” (adults 18-49), defeated Addison & Co., so it’s pretty much a wash. But ABC won the night (just barely, by a 10th of a ratings point!) in part because of a THIRD CONSECUTIVE NIGHT of Dancing With the Stars. What? How many freakin’ nights can this show air?
Anyway, here’s how all the new shows fared last night:
• Bionic Woman, 13.6 million
• Private Practice, 14.2 million
• Criminal Minds, 12.7 million
• CSI: NY, 12.7 million
• Dirty Sexy Money, 10.4 million
• Life, 10.1 million
Other items of interest:
• Though it had fewer overall viewers, Life “won in the demo” over both Dirty Sexy Money and Criminal Minds
• CSI: NY, dropped 26% from last year’s demo ratings.
• Bionic “grew exponentially” from its lead-in (Deal or No Deal) “and added nearly a half-rating point in the demo in the second half-hour.”
• Kitchen Nightmares dropped 1.2 million viewers to 5.4 million
• Criminal Minds was down 22% from last year’s “demo” in the premiere
• Kid Nation dropped 1.8 mil to 7.6 million viewers from last week’s premiere; Deal or No Deal and Back to You had more viewers, tho Back to You dropped 2 million from its premiere.
• Gossip Girl had a steep drop in “the demo,” snagging 2.5 million viewers
