More hints about ‘Lost’

Filming is already underway in Hawaii for the upcoming season of “Lost,” and the show’s executive producers are carefully feeding us Lost-philes hints of what’s to come.
The latest news comes courtesy of SCI FI Wire, which got the “Lost” powers-that-be to dish some dirt. They repeated their claim that next season will feature more of the flash-forwards that came as such a surprise in the finale (featuring a post-island Jack and Kate).
But never fear: The show has no plans to abandon the flashback sequences we’ve come to know and love. The producers assure us that this technique will continue, in order to give us more info about the characters’ backgrounds. (Which probably explains how the now-deceased Libby is returning …)
As for the big Season 4 premiere (rumored to be on Feb. 6), expect lots of repercussions from Charlie “We All Everybody” Pace’s heroic death.
Sounds like the opener will pick up right where the show left off—with rescuers on the way, Locke recovering from that gunshot wound, Naomi (presumably) dead and Desmond trying to figure out the meaning of Charlie’s last words (“Not Penny’s boat”).
But the producers also hinted at one thing that I’ve been wondering about since Walt’s return in May: Would Malcolm David Kelley still play the part, considering how much he’s grown and the fact that the castaways have only been on the island for a few months?
Looks like Malcolm’s still got a job, according to producer Damon Lindelof. He acknowledges that they’ve always known the actor would outgrow the pace of the show, and they’ve “planned for it.”
Hmm, I’m thinking that the aging mystery surrounding Richard Alpert will come into play here. (Remember how he looked like he hadn’t aged a day since Ben was a small boy?)
And Jacob will “appear” in the new episodes, though the producers declined to say whether actor Jeff Fahey would be playing the ghost man—as many have speculated. In fact, they didn’t say whether a PERSON would be playing Jacob at all.
Can answers really be still four months away? ARGHHH!!!
