BSG Razor flashbacks

So Friday brought us the first two-minute flashback to precede the November Battlestar Galactica: Razor movie.
Unlike the webisodes that preceded BSG’s Season 3, it offered little in the way of plot, but the “minisode” did introduce us to a young William “Husker” Adama on the verge of his rookie mission as a viper pilot in the first Cylon war.
A little nookie with a fellow pilot who’s been in the air quite a bit longer than Bill Adama and then the two are discussing the finer points of the war against the toasters.
Why would the Cylons want to sue for peace, they wonder? They’re machines.
And that’s about it.
Actor Nico Cortez was an excellent choice to play the young Bill Adama. He looks remarkably like the man he’s supposed to become.
It was interesting, for a BSG geek such as myself, to see Adama as a young, inexperienced pilot who’s clearly nervous about wading into the war.
Did anyone else wonder for a moment if the woman he was making out with was a Cylon, though? I thought she looked remarkably like the “Gina” Number Six, though at the same time not so much like her. I think this is set long before there were humanoid Cylons, but, actually how do we know?
Saul Tigh is a Cylon and Adama met him during the war, right?
Now that we’ve met Husker, maybe next week’s minisode will give us a little more of what we’re hungering for. Meat. Plot. Something to tide us over until Razor airs Nov. 24. Because that’s going to have to last us until next year, whenever they finally decide to air Season 4 (and hopefully don’t split it in two!).
Any thoughts out there in the BSGverse as to what we might learn from the minisodes?
SPOILER: Take a close look at the Husker photo above (the first one, on the right)… Is that a hybrid or a humanoid Cylon in a tank? Just what did Adama know about the humanoid models and when did he know it?
