It’s still three years away, but syndication deals are in place for Heroes.
TVGuide.com cites a report in Variety that says reruns will pop up on GF and its Hi-Def counterpart Mojo starting in 2010. Right off the bat, though, they’ll begin running same-week encore broadcasts (which I find are great for saving DVR space or for catching up when your DVR fails you or you don’t like watching online).
Even more interesting is that G4 will produce a live half-hour “wrap show” that will follow its Saturday night rebroadcast, which is a value-added extra diehard fans should love. G4 will also stream the show on its Web site (for those who don’t mind watching online) and offer the show via video-on-demand.
Meanwhile, Michael Ausiello reveals that two new character are slated to show up, but he doesn’t say if they have abilities or not.
Since part of the action will now follow Micah to New Orleans, the show is introducing a pair of Crescent Citizens to interact with him and his cousin. First up is Officer Warren, a twentysomething good guy who sounds like a likely love interest for the new Hero Monica (Dana Davis). They do, after all, have the same hobby: crimefighting. On the flip side of the coin is Knox, a twentysomething bad guy recently sprung from the pokey.
Let’s face it, 90 percent of the characters on this show have abilities, which makes you wonder why they, A. haven’t taken over the world yet, and B. why the people without abilities aren’t considered the freaks. These two probably do too.
