So say we all

WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILER (RUMOR) for Battlestar Galactica’s Season 4. Read at your own risk.

nup_104516_1302.jpgI hate to admit it, but this storyline hasn’t even been on my radar.

The SyFy Portal reminds us there’s more at stake in this final season of Battlestar Galactica than merely finding Earth and uncovering the identity of the 12th and final Cylon.

In Season 1 (heck, it was in the miniseries!), we learned President Laura Roslin had breast cancer. Sure, she recovered, but she relapsed last season and the same prophecy that has led the Colonials on their journey thus far — to get the Arrow of Apollo and to Kobol, for example — also says their leader who guides them will die before reaching the end of their journey. Roslin is the Colonials’ Moses and is expected to die before all is said and done.

Last weekend, Mary McDonnell, who plays Roslin, visited her daughter Olivia at Brandeis University to see her in Threepenny Opera. Then she hung out with “Liv” and her friends in their dorm.

She let it slip that her days are indeed numbered, according to an unnamed student who spoke to the Portal:

Mary told us that she only has three episodes left to film for BSG and is sad to say good-bye to Laura.

Eight episodes already are in the can, so this means, if true, that Roslin might die somewhere shortly the mid-season mark. But meanwhile, check out this promo for Season 4 that features Roslin packing heat!
