Ready to take on Jack Bauer

November
5

Apparently, Kiefer Sutherland has been working out to prepare himself for a new location: jail.

His 18-day December sentence and the other 30 days he has to serve come July will be spent at Mira Loma, about 90 miles from Los Angeles. The Daily Star in the U.K. reports that Kiefer has been lifting weights because he fears he’ll be a big target for felons who want to prove themselves, given his on-screen tough-guy Jack Bauer persona in 24.

Let’s face it, they are all going to take on Jack Bauer and I know that I will have to look out for myself but I am ready.

A “source” at the jail told the Daily Star this:

No one likes a big shot. This place is grim and there are certain rules that you have to live by. “It’s true that the regime here is a little easier than at a county jail but things are still very harsh. “He might have been working out but that won’t matter to some of the guys in here. “They might be in for lesser crimes at the moment but many of them have served time for a lot more serious offences in the past.

Kiefer will not be kept with the general population whereever they hold him. They are not stupid, if he is hurt do you know the amount of lawsuits the County would receive.

Kiefer will be kept in the “Protective Custody Unit” of the LA County Jail, the same place O J Simpson was kept while he was on trial.

ALL of the above, NOT TRUE.

This was a headline of a British rag tabloid, the Daily Star, and is nonsense, pure and simple. It sounds like a teenage boy making a “Jack Bauer” joke about the situation.

This is from a 24 Message board post from someone living in the UK: “The Daily Star is a very low end tabloid newspaper here in the UK. I think it caters []sensationalism rather than good journalism.”

What the woman above said is totally correct. Thank you for being the first post under this one.

If they put a 20 year past has-been like Robert Blake in protective custody when he was accused of murdering his wife, what do you think they would do with the star of a current hit show who is only there for DUI? That’s serious, too, but it isn’t murder.
