So, the People’s Choice awards approach. This is where you, the people, get to choose the best shows. So long as they’re in the list of shows that the People’s Choice people decide you get to choose from.

Anyway, here are the TV nominations:

Favorite sci-fi show: Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, Stargate Atlantis (my choice: BSG)

Favorite new TV comedy: Aliens in America, Back to You, The Big Bang Theory, Carpoolers, Cavemen, Chuck, Reaper, Samatha Who? (my choice: Reaper)

Favorite TV comedy: The King of Queens, My Name is Earl, Two and a Half Men (my choice: this is a choice?)

Favorite animated comedy: Family Guy, King of the Hill, The Simpsons (my choice: The Simpsons)

Favorite game show: Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?, Deal or No Deal, Jeopardy! (my choice: Deal or No Deal)

Favorite competition/reality show: American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Extreme Makeover: Home edition (my choice: I don’t watch any, but I vote for Idol as a proxy for Chris)

Favorite scene-stealing star: Richard Belzer, Law & Order: SVU; Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother; Chandra Wilson, Grey’s Anatomy (my choice: I don’t watch any of these, but I always loved Belzer in Homicide)

Favorite male TV star: Patrick Dempsey, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland (my choice: Duh. If you can’t guess, you’ve never read any of my posts)

Favorite female TV star: Sally Field, Katherine Heigl, Jennifer Love Hewitt (my choice: Sally Field)

Favorite new TV drama: Big Shots, Bionic Woman, Cane, Dirty Sexy Money, Gossip Girl, Journeyman, K-Ville, Life, Life Is Wild, Moonlight, Private Practice, Pushing Daisies, Women’s Murder Club (my choice: Pushing Daisies)

Favorite talk show host: Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, Oprah Winfrey (my choice: no Jon Stewart?)

Favorite TV drama: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, House, Law & Order: SVU (my choice: Don’t watch any of these, but I vote for House, as a proxy for Georgette)

– I've heard great things about "Life," so I might pick that over "Daisies" if I had seen either one.

I finally watched Life and it is a wonderful show!!
