Jericho and the writer’s strike

November
28

While a lot has been said about the potential benefits to Jericho should the writer’s strike drag on (given that the seven episodes for Season 2 already are in the can, it’s strike-proof), I’ve been remiss in blogging on how Jericho cast, crew and, naturally, fans, have been supporting the writer’s strike.

First, we have a most excellent video created by the talented Rubber Poultry, reminding us of Why The Writers Fight:

Then we have the Salty Scoop blog, which has been largely silent since the Season 1 DVD box set came out. Crew blogged recently about being out on strike and provided pix of some of the cast who’ve been walking the picket lines with them.

Then, there’s this, which isn’t really strike-related, but is cool. The Jericho On CBS blog got a great interview with April Parker-Jones, better known as Darcy Hawkins.

She didn’t offer spoilers for Season 2, of course, but she did have this tidbit she felt she could share:

Without giving too much away, you will definitely see Darcy become more involved in her husband’s past and his protection of the town in Season 2. I am very pleased at the direction the writers have taken for Darcy in the new Season.

Can’t wait!

Very nice article. I am glad to see you posting things again about the Jericho show and how the cast is still doing interviews. Your also right about Rubberpoultry and his talent, which goes beyond professional in my opinion. He is very intuitive and hits it every time. Aprils interview was so cool and she is too. I am glad she took the time out of her busy schedule to do it. I am so excited about the seven new episodes of Jericho soon to come. I just have a hard time waiting. Thanks for the article Amy!!

That post you mentioned has been deleted from the Jericho blog. It looks like CBS didn’t like their support of the writers.
