Heroes bits and pieces

Ever play the game ‘Separated at Birth’? You know, where you put portraits of famous people side-by-side to show how surprisingly similar they appear? Usually it’s only two people, but I’ve got three: Heroes’ David Anders, Journeyman’s Kevin McKidd and Shaun of the Dead’s Simon Pegg.
Judge for yourself.

Don’t see it? Maybe it’s just me. At any rate, McKidd’s is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors I’d never heard of until a few months ago. Pegg, of course, ranks as a genius for Shaun, and Anders is about the deadliest evil hero to come along so far. He’s not popping heads open, but killing 93 percent of the earth’s population with a virus is pretty evil.
BuddyTV interviewed Anders last week, and it’s worth a read/listen as the finale approaches.
Remember a few weeks ago when Hayden Panettiere tried to break up a Japanese dolphin harvest? Turns out she might not be off the hook. Word that Japanese authorities may seek to prosecute keeps popping in news and blog items like this one from TVGuide.com.
My only thought on this is that if she ends up doing hard time on the dolphin-hugger rap, that’s just more screen time for her pal Kristen Bell. BuddyTV checked in with Bell and Panettiere about how their characters relate to one another.
Debbie over at Watching Heroes has some great links to some serious Heroes fodder, including bits about an uptick on Heroes’ ratings (more on this below), Activating Evolution’s take on the Shanti virus and a sneak peek at M0nday’s episode, “Powerless.”
While it’s not exactly new at this point, George Takei’s conversation with iF Magazine about his latest turn as Kaito Nakamura is a must-read for Heroes fans.
Now about those ratings, Heroes and The Office are doing their part to deliver eyeballs, at least until the strike axed both from the schedule. (Remember, Monday is the de facto Heroes finale.)
For the week of Nov. 12-18, Heroes ranked 7th among all programs in adults aged 18-49, NBC Universal reports. So far this season Heroes ranks 6th overall in that demo, third among adults 18-34 and third among men 18-49 and men 18-34.

Thank You! My thoughts exactly. I was so going to blog about the same thing. Albeit not the ones you have pointed out. However, I frequently am going is that the guy/gal from… then I’m racing over to IMDB to check it out. What a hoot! I guess great minds think a like! Keep up the great blog!!!!
