The Colbert Report, one night only!

So, with the writer’s strike in full swing, you’re going through some serious Daily Show/Colbert Report withdrawal right about now. What’s a snarky political wonk to do?
Why, go see The Colbert Report live at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, at 307 W. 26th St. in Manhattan.
The show’s at 6:30 tonight, and tickets are $20. Advance reservations are sold out, but there will be a standby line for the show.
The late-night shows were the first in the firing line when the writer’s strike began, because they tend to be so topical and written on the day of airing. So we’ve been without Stephen’s … special … brand of comedy for weeks now, dammit! Not that I can make it to Lower Manhattan tonight anyhow.
So go for me, and tell me how it was?
Thanks to the TVSquad for pointing this out. Here’s a link to the theater site for info.

Oh, and I chose this photo because Colbert graduated from my alma mater, Northwestern University, and I just think that’s pretty cool. He was grand marshall of the homecoming parade last year (that’s where this pic’s from).

Arrrrrrgggh! I totally want to go! But I have another commitment that I can’t miss.
UCB is the greatest.
