The Accessories’ Golden Globes picks

goldenglobe.jpgAs I previously posted, the Golden Globe television nominations (by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association) were announced this morning and lots of new shows got their due.

Well, my fellow Remote Accessories and I have had a chance to mull these over and here’s some of our picks (and predictions) for winners, after the break

Brian:
Best TV drama: Big Love (should win), Mad Men (will win)
Best TV comedy or musical: 30 Rock (should/will)
Best actress in a TV drama: Edie Falco, The Sopranos (should win), Sally Field, Brothers & Sisters (will win)
Best actor in a TV drama: Hugh Laurie, House (will win), Bill Paxton, Big Love (should pick)
Best actor in a TV comedy: Steve Carell, The Office (should win), Ricky Gervais, Extras (will win)
Best actress in a TV comedy: Tina Fey, 30 Rock (should/will win)
Best supporting actress/TV: Abstains out of disgust at Jenna Fischer’s snubbing
Best supporting actor/TV: Ted Danson, Damages (will win), Jeremy Piven, Entourage (should win)

Chris:
Best TV drama: House (will win), Mad Men (should win)
Best TV comedy or musical: 30 Rock (should win), Extras (will win)
Best actress in a TV drama: Glenn Close, Damages (should/will win)
Best actor in a TV drama: Michael C. Hall, Dexter (should win), Hugh Laurie, House (will win)
Best actor in a TV comedy: Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock (will win), Steve Carell, The Office (should win)
Best actress in a TV comedy: America Ferrera, Ugly Betty (will win), Tina Fey, 30 Rock (should win)
Best supporting actress/TV: Rachel Griffiths, Brothers & Sisters (will win), Anna Paquin, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (should win)
Best supporting actor/TV: William Shatner, Boston Legal (will win), Adam Baldwin, Chuck (NOT NOMINATED BUT MY PICK ANYWAY!) [Amy note: I concur!]
Best actress in a TV miniseries or movie: Bryce Dallas Howard, As You Like It (should win; gotta support LoHudders!), Debra Messing, The Starter Wife (will win)

Heather:
Best TV drama: Damages (should win), House (will win)
Best TV comedy or musical: Pushing Daisies (should/will win)
Best actress in a TV drama: Glenn Close, Damages (should/will win)
