This is a travesty, we need a prober end, it would be great if another network picked it up. I am really gutted about this.

What's really odd is that with the writers strike going on you'd think the last thing any network would do is cancel a long running show. Stranger still is that no other network has picked it up... which is still possible I suppose.

But, look on the bright side. The 4400 ended on a note where the show could very will pick up five years from now, showing the growth of Promise City and maybe a new threat of some kind. Matured, older characters along with new ones... anything could happen.

We can dream, right?

To cancel the 4400 is a sin. USA Network owes fans real closure. There is a demand for this show and they know it. The DVD sales of seasons 1 to 3 are going through the roof. And when Season 4 of the 4400 comes to DVD....its going to sell like hot cakes too. Someone at the Network should get fired for allowing the show to be canceled. It makes me have no faith in the Network. Why should I devote my time to any of their shows knowing full well they can axe it the way they did the 4400. USA Network lost a loyal viewer in me. I skip the channel now. Only a fool would cancel that show. Stupid business sense at USA Networks.

I too was saddened to hear of the demise of The 4400, my summertime yum-fest. I was hooked from the start of this series and followed it happily every summer. It was fun and sexy and had a nice, original feel to it. Curses to USA! Characters wanted, indeed...

This is just awful, I watched and loved BOTH of these shows. I'm so bummed out! I was wondering when I saw the news about 4400 if Dead Zone was gone as well, now I know. DARN DARN DARN!
