A pair of Heroes make quite a pair, apparently

To me it was the creepiest pairing since Gomez and Morticia, only a different kind of creepy than the Addamses.

Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennett—power sponge and self-healing cheerleader. This possible match-up came to light early in Season 1 when Peter saved the cheerleader but not quite the world. Those lingering stares and batted eyelashes never evolved into on-screen romance, thankfully. The two turned out to be niece and uncle.

But a spark seems to have been lit off-screen. This item in TVGuide.com cites a People Magazine report that Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere are dating. I can honestly say I do not care one way or another, but I thought it was worth mentioning if only to sigh with relief that it is not part of a future plotline.

It also gives me an opening to mention that David Spade is the most remarkable bachelor in Hollywood.

Lacking the good looks, charm or physique expected of a heartthrob (Yeah, same goes for me, but he’s still no Brad Pitt.), “Joe Dirt” himself managed to romance Heather Locklear and is now rumored to be involved with The Office’s Jenna Fischer. According to The Contra Costa Times’s rumor mill, friends say they’re not a serious item. But go ahead and Google both their names and see how much speculation they’ve generated.

This might be evidence of the worst romantic judgment seen from Fischer since Pam got back together with Roy. If she’s trying to make estranged husband James Gunn feel bad, this would seem to be way to go.

Speaking of The Office, though, Entertainment Weekly recently asked its readers to pick the best TV sound bites of 2007. Dunder-Mifflinites accounted for more of the choice quotes than any others show.

My favorite of the lot was Dwight’s Talking Head from “Business School”

”I don’t have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor’s dog.”
