CBS has released the official press release on the first episode of the new season. I’m just reproducing it here, because I know all you wacky Rangers will want to know every single freakin’ detail, down to who plays the “New Bern Gunman.”

So I’ll shut up now and just share:

Esai Morales (“NYPD Blue”) Joins the Series as a Recurring Cast Member

“Reconstruction” – When the Cheyenne government puts an end to the battle between Jericho and New Bern, Major Beck (guest star Esai Morales) leads the reconstruction efforts to restore Jericho’s power and communication with the outside world, on the second season premiere of JERICHO, Tuesday, Feb. 12 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

JERICHO returns for seven episodes beginning February 12, following one of the most unprecedented and impassioned displays of fan support on behalf of a television series.

JERICHO stars Skeet Ulrich, Ashley Scott, Lennie James, Kenneth Mitchell, Brad Beyer and Alicia Coppola.

Crikey! Sprague Grayden (Heather) is only a “recurring” cast member? They’d better give her an awful lot of screen time.

I knew they were cutting Pamela Reed for the most part, but I notice there is no mention of Shoshannah Stern or Eric Knudsen (Bonnie Richmond and Dale Turner) either? I hope that was just an oversite in the press release…
