I almost forgot about this: The People’s Choice Awards were announced last night.

Favorite female TV star: Katherine Heigl
Favorite male TV star: Patrick Dempsey
Favorite talk show host: Ellen DeGeneres
Favorite scene stealer: Chandra Wilson
Favorite TV drama: House
Favorite TV comedy: Two and a Half Men
Favorite reality show: Dancing with the Stars
Favorite game show: Deal or No Deal
Favorite sci-fi show: Stargate Atlantis
Favorite animated TV show: The Simpsons
Favorite new TV comedy: Samantha Who?
Favorite new TV drama: Moonlight

So this is what I have to say:

â€¢ How on earth does the Grey’s Anatomy cast run away with three actor awards and not win favorite TV drama?

â€¢ Two and a Half Men? Really? No, I mean, really?

â€¢ Dancing with the Stars over American Idol? I don’t watch either, but I find it hard to believe that if the two shows went head-to-head any day of the week, DWTS would collapse like Marie Osmond. (OK, that was a cheap shot and probably already cliche, but c’mon, I couldn’t resist it. Sometimes I juts gotta go for the easy one.)

â€¢ For best sci-fi, two words, seven syllables. Battlestar Galactica.

â€¢ Samantha Who? is an enjoyable sitcom, and the cast is really great. But Chuck wuz robbed.

â€¢ Moonlight: Uncle! Awright already, I’m going to rent the Season 1 DVDs as soon as they’re released.

Amy,
It's writers like you that embarrass America. Crawl back under that rock that you crawled out from under and please let us never hear from you again! You could never have the Beauty, Style and Talent that Marie Osmond has, so do her and us a favor, take a looong walk off a very short pier and walk until your hat floats!

But seriously, I was a huge, huge, huge fan of Donny & Marie when I was a wee lass and used to fight with Keith Landsburg (Kevin, maybe? I dunno, it was a very long time ago) in the first grade over who was better, D or M, and I always voted for Marie.
