Report: Paula Abdul to sing live at Super Bowl

I guess the Super Bowl folks figured if they couldn’t improve upon the Best Super Bowl Halftime Show of All Time™, they might as well just undo it.
Apparently, Paula Abdul’s live performance involves a duet with fellow “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson. If Simon Cowell’s on tambourine, the world might implode.
I am otherwise speechless, so I’ll just hand it over to TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello for the rest of the gory details.

Give the woman a break. Say what you will but she has always been one of the best performers ever to come out of the music industry. I’ve always admired her work ever since she came out…I hope she pulls it off…this girl’s got guts.
Paula Abdul!!!???
Who works in the Marketing Department? This is what I dislike about corportations who hire these hicks who come from nowhere to work in the “big city” and still dont get a clue as to whom the public would want to see?
The marketing ploy sucks-american idol is a success-kids will watch anything pertaining to american idol-including wathcing paula abdul make a fool of herself.
Please get with it people-remember she had a reality show that was a train wreck that happened-now once again tv is going to ruin the possibility of having the worse superbowl halftime show ever-Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers??? Yea it would be cool if he is going to do a duet with Tommy Lee or Kid Rock or even Axl Rose…but Tom Petty???? Come on guys-What about Dave Matthews??? I always look forward to the halftime show—-esp if I could care less about who’s playing-basically, we all know who is going to win-Patriots, but we have nothing else to look forward to besides Paula Abdul’s old ass, trying to be charming and hot, singing through her nose doing 80’s choreography. Puleeaasse.
