Was Sarah Connor any good last night? Wait, don't tell me! I don't want to be spoiled!

I didn’t watch the second episode—or was it Part II of the premiere?—of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles last night.
Is that terrible? I meant to. I wanted to. I was really looking forward to it. But then the responsibilities of real life intervened and pre-empted my television viewing. Don’t you just hate when that happens?
Not to fear, though. My DVR caught it and promises to hold onto it until tonight when I plan to watch, sans commercials, of course. And a full recap/break-down/analysis will follow. Until then, I’ve got to avoid spoilers as best I can. That’ll be a challenge because I feel like I’ve got to give you all a little something worth checking out in the meantime.
No sense penalizing those of you who did your homework, after all.
Here’s TVSquad’s recap for “Gnothi Seauton” (Greek for “know thyeslf). I haven’t read it of course, but they always do a good job with shows I like. Whitney Pastorek’s take over at EW.com is worth a weekly look (after Remote Access, of course). And this is BuddyTV’s recap.
BuddyTV interviewed Thomas Dekker recently and posted the audio from their chat. It’s not really spoilery, but it does include Dekker’s take on why last night’s episode was even better than Sunday night’s installment…
Well look, here’s the thing: all pilots are A) Things that need to find themselves. You’re setting up everything from wardrobe to set design to everything, it’s still finding its feet. You have to find your own voice. Also, we knew that with the pilot we in a way have to remake one of the films to let the audience know that they’re back in Terminator land. Then once we’re past that we kind of can go off and create our own thing and find our own voice, separate from the films in a way, but it’s still very much the films.
TSCC put the hurt on the Golden Globes presentation in the ratings 3-to-1, Reuters reports, putting Fox in good position with the impending arrival of American Idol and little in the way of competition as the writers strike plods through its third month.
After getting a 37.3 million viewer boost for the last hour of the New York Giants-Dallas Cowboys NFC semifinal on Sunday night, the network scored the highest premiere in viewership and adults 18-49 in at least two years for the new “Connor” series. At least 18.3 million viewers tuned in to see the “Terminator” spinoff at 8 p.m., with a sky-high 7.6 rating/18 share in the coveted demo, according to preliminary estimates by Nielsen Media Research.
Let’s see how those numbers hold up over the long haul. I’ll feel bad if there’s a big drop-off from Sunday to Monday, though I will help boost their plus-three ratings.

I was in the same boat and had to DVR the second episode as well (yes, it does suck that real life gets in the way of tv)! I won't say anything to spoil the episode for you, but it was every bit as good as the Pilot, IMO. The wild ride continues and the casting is superb! I can tell I'm going to REALLY like this show!
I couldn't agree more, especially about the casting. And yes, I finally got to watch it.
