J.J. Abrams is having a really good month

Life can’t get much better for triple threat J.J. Abrams, writer-producer-director of projects like “Lost,” “Alias,” “Felicity,” and “Mission Impossible 3.”
Last week, it was announced that FOX is giving the wonderboy $10 million to shoot the pilot for his new sci-fi TV series, “Fringe.” It’s about a female FBI agent who teams up with a scientist to investigate paranormal mysteries. (Hmm, sounds a bit like “The X-Files: The Next Generation.”)
THEN, his monster movie, “Cloverfield,” smashed records for January, taking in over $40 million at the box office over the weekend.
Plus, I can’t forget the high-profile “Star Trek” flick that’s currently in production, with J.J. in the director’s chair.
And, of course, he’s got “Lost” zooming back for its fourth (but sadly abbreviated) season on Jan. 31, which makes me deliriously gleeful.
Gee, if we didn’t love J.J. so much, we might just start to hate him.
