Your daily Jericho fix

This is starting to become a habit, folks! Ah, that’s OK. There are much worse habits to have.
But shortly after I posted yesterday’s litany of Jericho news and tidbits, I came upon yet another pile of things worthy of note. OK, I dug around a little bit, but same diff.
First off:
• Dan Shotz stopped in for a chat at Jeritopia recently. Wow. That’s really amazing, and you guys should be really proud of yourselves. The most amazing thing, I thought, was that Dan knew who many of the Jeritopia chatters were and some tidbits about them (such as maybei’s love for Beau the dog —he’s a she? Eleanor?). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, folks, the people involved with creating Jericho have lots of class. How many showrunners would take the time to drop in unannounced on a nightly chat, never mind point out some folks by name!? Anyhow, the Jeritopia folks worked with Jane over at Jericho Monster to post a an abbreviated transcript/summation of the chat on her blog. Head over there for the whole thing, but I had to share this tidbit:
Dan also let the fans know that there are plans for lots of behind the scenes stuff on the season 2 DVD. Alas however, no word on if this means both the shot endings for s2 will be included. No word however on when season 2 would be available on DVD. He said that most likely depended on the status of season 3. Dan originally [said] the DVD release depended on whether they came back and he was quickly corrected to WHEN by ever hopeful fans. He did add however if there is a season 3, it would come out in the fall.
OK, so here’s the rest:
• Terocious at Jericho Junction has kindly created a page where you can find links to all the interviews that fans have done with Jericho cast members.
• This video on CBS.com is the behind-the-scenes look at how the napalm scene was shot for the Season 2 opener.
• The Jericho Returns MySpace blog had a link to some promotional postcards that the indomitable Rubber Poultry created. Print ‘em out, send ‘em out!
• The Jericho On CBS blog had an interesting interview with Hawksdomain, of JerichoRangers4OurTroops.com. Here’s a snippet:
I began envisioning Jericho Rangers 4 Our Troops after becoming friends with a mother of two soldiers. At the same time, my cousin was being deployed for a second time. I had heard of the idea of DVDs for Troops in late May, but had not thought of taking on such a project yet. At the end of June, I wrapped up working on Healthy Altitudes for Life, where Jericho Rangers sponsored a bicyclist riding in each of the 50 states fundraising for cancer education/research. We only raised a couple of hundred dollars for that and it was successful! Not long after that, someone else became involved in wanting to take on the DVDs for Troops project and was looking for help…
Nice work!
