More Jericho goodies

OK, I think I’m committed to posting daily on Jericho before Season 2 gets its start in a scant 2 1/2 weeks.
So, you all have to do your part – if you see something out there and haven’t read it on Remote Access, let me know immediately, if not sooner.
Plus, I’ll be looking for guest bloggers for the new season of Jericho, a la the Great Jericho Blogging Experiment of the summer of reruns, which was a resounding success. Margie and Edna already have graciously agreed to recap the first episode for us. That leaves six episodes left to staff. Priority will go to those folks who’ve already guest blogged, but there’s always room for multiple blogs per episode. Let me know if you’re interested and we can talk/e-mail about it.
Here’s todays news and notes and links:
• First off, Brad Beyer (Stanley Richmond) was at the FXinternational convention in Orlando, where Orlando Sentinel TV critic Hal Boedeker interviewed him. Nothing particularly new came out of the interview, but it’s always nice to see “our” cast interviewed. He’s 34 and said the nuts were “pivotal” in decision of CBS to renew the show for its abbreviated run. He did have this to say about Stimi (Stanley + Mimi = Stimi, for those not in the know):
I don’t think the writers had any idea it was going to end up that way. She came to take my farm away. There was just something in the rapport. It really worked. … These people probably woud not have found each other. Extreme circumstances bring people together. You’re forced to see the common ground. Stanley wouldn’t have gotten a girl like Mimi otherwise.
Oh, Stanley. Don’t sell yourself so short.
OK, on to the rest:
• The SciFi Channel has fully embraced its newest addition to its rerun stable. It’s added a Jericho forum to its forum pages. (Thanks, Jericho Junction.) The channel also added Jericho to its SCIFIPEDIA, with entries already up on Jericho itself, Skeet Ulrich and Ashley Scott (she was on Dark Angel, too). Help ‘em out! (Clarke, wanna get the Sprague/Heather entry started?)
• Already posted in the forums is a link to a live interview with Clare Carey (Mary Bailey) from 8 to 11 p.m. Wednesday. You can IM questions during the interview or beforehand if you can’t watch it live. The show is called Filmnut.
• Marlene Forte, who played “Teresa Clemons” in the Jericho pilot, will be the “Chief Transporter” in the upcoming J.J. Abrams Star Trek film, according to SciFi Wire.
• Smackdown! Lost vs Jericho. Many TV-watchers (myself included) are fans of both shows. Here’s one fan who argues that even though Lost has some episodes that blow anything out of the water, Jericho is more even and, overall, the better show, over at Geektoob.com. Here’s a snippet of his argument:
Let’s hedge this argument a little bit: The absolute heights of “Lost” last season – the flash forward, Charlie’s death, Desmond’s Twilight Zone-style time-travel flashback episode – were arguably better than the best moments of “Jericho.”But we’re talking about averages here. “Jericho” is like the quality mutual fund that starts merely good and kept getting better (especially after its winter hiatus). It’s the steady performer who always turns out a quality show that can look you in the eye and tell its story without flinching ….

Thanks Amy. If I find any info I’ll send it along.
You Go Girl!
Keep it coming!
And to chime in, I adore both Lost and Jericho, for different reasons, and I simply can’t wait for either to start again.
Rodd at Geektoob.com is my new hero!!
Thanks, Amy, for all the news that is news!
