Northern Attacking the strike — Office fans weigh in, Part 4

(Part 4 of many. Parts 1, 2 and 3.)
OK, by now you get the idea, hence the shortened headline.
Office fans waited a long time for Jim and Pam to make Jam, whether that’s what they were rooting for or that’s what they were rooting to get over with. And then the strike hit. So you have to figure they’ve got a lot to say about that.
Claire, 22, of Laurel Springs, N.C. goes by the name Toosie or 2CtC at the Watercooler forums at NorthernAttack.com. Her names come from “two feet closer to the copier”, a reference to Jim’s prank of slowly sliding Dwight’s desk across the office over the course of a day—as its derivation, Michael might say.
That’s a prank that takes a lot of patience. And patience is what Toosie shows lots of when it comes to this interminable strike.
10 words or less: Which side do you support in the writers strike and why?
I support the fans. Compromise and air our shows.
Presumably you’re watching less TV than usual lately. What are you doing instead?
I’m busy as ever and watch about the same (small) amount of TV as before the strike. The main difference is that now I’m not upset if I miss the Thursday night lineup.
Office fans waited two and a half years to see Jim and Pam get together. Two months later, the writers strike threatens to wash the season away. What do you think about that?
I understand where they’re coming from. Sure, I’d love to see what would have been for Season 4. But, there are obviously some issues that the writers and networks have to resolve. I just hope that the resolution comes sooner rather than later.
How’d you like the way things were going overall on the show when the strike hit?
I was really into S4. I think it would have been a classic season. There were some really good moments.
Would you rather see the strike end now and have the writers get back to work and put The Office back on for however many episodes they can squeeze in, or would you rather they scrap the season and turn their attention to returning strong in the fall, using the extra time to restore their creative juices?
I think I’m ready for S5. Let there be some time where this story arc is finished, but not necessarily aired. Then, next season, sort of address these unaired months.
Bonus round—Fill in the blanks:
- This strike sucks. NBC should be sentenced to a year of According to Jim/My Two Dads/Blossom reruns for making this happen, but they’d probably like it.
- Angela and Andy make such a great couple. They’re like the Brangelina of the northeast Pennsylvania paper distribution industry.
- I still can’t believe Michael followed his GPS into a lake. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve seen on TV since ever.
- Angela looked so much better this season, especially with her new cat, Garbage and seeing her with Andy.
- The strike has been particularly rough on my Office obsession. In fact, the strangest thing I’ve done since the hiatus began was watching an episode of “Don’t Forget the Lyrics!”.

Yay, our first questionnaire reference to Garbage!
