Your daily Jericho fix (Tuesday, ONE WEEK and counting)

Can I say again what a class act these Jericho folk are?
SaveJake pointed out to me last night that Stimi had left notes on the CBS boards thanking the fans again for helping save the show.
Here’s Alicia Coppola’s:
Dear All,Next Tuesday, February 12th is the beginning of the second season of Jericho. It is the season that almost wasn’t. Your hard work and perseverance made television history: you revived a cancelled show. Because of that, the 7 most unbelievably brilliant episodes that television has ever seen, exist solely because of you. Each episode, in my mind, is akin to a big thank you note delivered to you every Tuesday night.
As an actor, I am lucky to even get a job. Then I am lucky that someone even watches the thing I am in. To have been on a show as truly wonderful as Jericho is, is gift enough. To work with the people I am fortunate to work with is a blessing. To have fans like you all who cared enough to even watch the show let alone work tirelessly to bring us back is just plain flooring.
So please tune in every Tuesday night on CBS and tell every one you know to do the same…I have a feeling we can make the record books again because these 7 episodes exemplify what great television can be. They are very exciting and they are for you….Thank you again.Love, Alicia Coppola
Here’s Brad Beyer’s:
Hey guys it’s Brad Beyer “Stanley Richmond”. First off I just want to say Thank you again for all the tremendous work everyone has done in bringing us back. I can honestly say that these next 7 episodes are the best we’ve ever done. We never would have had the chance to come back without the awesome support of the fans, so keep up all the great work! Try to get as many new people to watch the show as possible, we would love nothing more than to bring you guys a full season3!!!! We love you guys! GO JERICHO TUESDAY FEB 12 10 p.m.Brad Beyer
After the break, the entire official CBS press release for episode 2, “Condor.”

Meanwhile, over on Firefox News, Eric Cole wrote about Jericho fans, in an article aptly entitled, “Jericho – Casual Fans No More.” Basically, he urges casual fans from Season 1 to tune in to Season 2. The hardcore fans, of course, know all about Season 2 and don’t need reminding. They don’t need to know why they should watch Season 2. Those who migrated away from Jericho after the disastrous programming mistakes that led to a sharp dropoff in the ratings.
He spells out the five things these folks need to know about Season 2:
1. The Youth Movement: Most of the older cast is either already off the show (Mayor Johnston Green died in the Season 1 finale) or headed off (Gail Green won’t show up until one of the last episodes; she went out of town after Johnston died. Also, Cole didn’t mention that although Gray is in the first couple of episodes, he has an assignment out of town that will remove him from the equation for most of the episodes.)
2. New Bern – It’s War! The first season ended with all-out war between neighbors Jericho and New Bern. The first episode ties this up, but things are still quite tense between the two towns.
3. The Bigger Danger May Be … A high-school teenager. Dale Turner, Cole explains, went from orphaned outcast to market-owning bigwig. His relationship with Skylar gives him control of 50 percent of the town’s oh-so-important salt mines.
4. The Power of Love. Four major romances came out of Season 1: Jake & Emily (though some of us are still hoping for Heather!), Stimi (Stanley & Mimi), Eric & Mary (the latter of whom gets precious little time in the first three eps of Season 2) and Dale & Skylar (Dale shows up, solidly in ep 3, but I haven’t seen Skylar yet). Cole also explains that Hawkins & Darcy were rebuilding their relationship.
5. Fasten Your Seatbelts. The seven episodes contain 22 episodes worth of story. Woo-hoo!
And some shorts:
• Reminder, Jeritopia has chats coming up every night this week, including tonight, all in Town Hall:
Tonight (Feb. 5), co-executive producer Karim Zreik, 9 p.m. EST.
Tomorrow (Feb. 6), executive producer Carol Barbee, 11 p.m. EST.
Thursday (Feb. 7), writer Matt Federman, 10 p.m. EST
Friday (Feb. 8), co-creator/writer Jon Steinberg, 1o p.m. EST.
(Note, those who attended last night’s chat with Townsperson Jennie Sword “were stunned when Jericho co-producer Karim Zreik, series co-creator Jon Steinberg, and actress Clare Carey (who plays Mary Bailey) all dropped in on the chat  unannounced.”—Thanks Clarke, for the info from your blog.
• Shelby scores again. Check out her interview with Dan Shotz over at Jericho4Kids.
• Want to read about Jericho in Spanish? Go here.
• And last, but not least, to quote a former president of the U.S.A. (not the A.S.A), “Here we go again.” Australian fans are asking for some familiar help (thanks for the info, Jane!): Jericho’s been canceled on TV in Oz. Fans from Down Under request that folks here send one packet of nuts apiece to:
Mr. Grant Blackley
CEO
Network Ten
GPO Box 10
Sydney, NSW 2000
AUSTRALIA
What the heck. If you guys could get CBS to reverse course, and the network had to actually PRODUCE new episodes in order to bring Jericho back, you can get li’l ol’ Network Ten to change its mind, can’t you?

Thanks Amy. Yep, Channel 10 should be no problem. Kind of fun to send nuts again.
Jeritopia rocks!
Hi
It’s a great idea to send peanuts to Network 10 … an easier way than posting is to use an online service, and would probably work out cheaper. (remember prices are in Australlian dollars).
Had a quick look and found this site:
http://peanutvan.com.au/prices.htm
You would need to send this to the physical address at Network 10 which is:
1 Saunders St
Pyrmont, NSW 2009
Happy ordering.
Choco
Amy, you do Jericho proud! Thanks for helping to ramp up the excitement in the final week before the return of our show.
Yay! More NUTS!
I’m enjoying the daily Jericho updates Amy, it’s going to get me through the last six excrutiating days before Season 2!
