Your daily Jericho fix (Friday, FOUR DAYS and counting)
-
- February
- 8
OK, today’s gonna be huge, but it ain’t gonna be pretty. I have special posts coming up for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and so I wanted to use up all the remaining linkage I had for Jericho today. I might do some small bonus posts over the next few days, but I hope you enjoy the extra-special Jericho posts I worked on over the next few days.
First off, we have the Jericho Treasure Hunt, brainchild of Jericho~on~CBS and Jericho4Kids. All clues are listed on the message board and links to the appropriate blog. Basically, you have to solve the riddle for each site in order to win. The first to solve all the riddles correctly wins a Jericho Season One DVD Set, a Jericho4Kids T-Shirt and a cast member autograph.
Next, Dale (Eric Knudsen) is the latest of the classy Jericho cast to post a thank you message on the boards.
Hi Everyone,How many sleeps until Feb. 12th? LOL…sorry I couldn’t resist. You have no idea how stoked I am about Jericho returning next week. To have witnessed this movement in television history at 19 is very surreal to me and I have each and everyone of you to thank for that. I’m home now in Toronto visiting with my family and I have to say, everyone in Canada is going “NUTS”!!!! for Jericho’s return. I would like to say thank you again to everyone for bringing life back to Jericho. Let’s now get the show on the road starting Feb. 12 through season 3,4,5…
Your friend,
Erik Knudsen/Dale

It is named, natch, “Blackjack Fairgrounds.” Basically, once a week, a carnival member will post an entry that links to all the blogs participating, summing up submitted posts of the week. Get a carnival widget for your blog here. Submit posts here. E-mail me if you want to host a future edition.
Linkage:
• How better to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to send your loved one(s) a Jericho Vcard?
• Here and here are a couple of Jeather vids I found last night.
• Thoughts from a new fan.
• Here’s a review, from Variety. (A taste: “Despite skepticism when the show premiered, “Jericho” has thus joined the rarefied company of series that merit eager anticipation; indeed, I confess to consuming the episodes made available in one hungry gulp, which if nothing else bodes well for the show’s prospects as a DVD release.”)
• CBS has created the Ranger Roll Call Poll (in the right-hand sidebar).
• Help grow Jericho, a MyMiniCity. Each different click helps improve Jericho in different ways: Increase population. Increase industry. Improve the transport network. Increase security.

• This blog has “5 Reasons I Should Hate Jericho, and 5 Reasons Why I Like it.” The blog’s British, which might help explain some of the comments. And he’s only up to Episode 15!
• Jericho~On~CBS has a great interview with Nobodysbaby, about her encounters with Brad Beyer at the WonderCon convention in Orlando. Basically, he was fabulously nice to her (shocking). But seriously, I’m really continuously amazed at how classy these guys have been. I didn’t excerpt the interview here, because you really need to go read the whole thing for yourself. Seriously.
• Last, but not at all least, Hawkins (OK, Lennie James) speaks . Here’s a taste:
Coming back for a second season was utterly fantastic. Without question, it was the highest accolade that a show could receive. Mostly, a show is made aware of its popularity with awards given by the industry to the industry. This accolade that our fans paid was completely of their own doing. It was down to the passion that they felt for the show, the disappointment in the show being taken away from them and the desire to have their voices registered at a time they felt they had to be registered.Their feelings and their participation in the show as viewers were being ignored. They quite rightly and loudly and brilliantly said, ‘We are not going to be ignored. We are going to make our voices felt and heard.’

Great blog, as always.
