ABC picks up nine shows for the fall

ABC named nine of its series that will return for sure in the fall:
Brothers & Sisters
Desperate Housewives
Dirty Sexy Money
Grey’s Anatomy
Lost
Private Practice
Pushing Daisies
Samantha Who?
Ugly Betty
Here’s what I want to know:
Which show gets the 9 p.m. Thursday timeslot? Lost or Grey’s? I know Supernatural fans are hoping Grey’s keeps it; a permanent slot up against Lost could be [shudder] the death knell.

Re: the 9pm Thursday time slot, I'm guessing that ABC will wait until the last minute before they decide that. It wasn't until a few weeks before the premiere that they announced LOST's time change, the big jerks. They'll want to see how LOST does and how the audiences react to the time slot, I'm betting.
And yay, they picked up Samantha Who? and Pushing Daisies!!
And bite your tongue with that "death knell" stuff!!
The creator of Supernatural, Eric Kripke, seems optimistic that a fourth season will happen. I've also seen it said that Supernatural is the highest-rated show on the CW, which is pretty sad considering they rarely get more than 3 million viewers per episode. I guess this is a case where poor ratings are all relative.
The WB never should have merged with UPN. It got so much better ratings on it's own. They ended a lot of highly shows by picking up UPN, Gilmore Girls, for example. And the ones they kept just went downhill, the new season of One Tree Hill, for example. It's a sad disappointment.
