‘American Idol’ kicks off Top 24 Week with slick, sexy photo shoot

For a fan who routinely rips on “American Idol,” I’d like to commend the show for doing something right. Not just because it’s a vocally solid Top 24 this year, but also because it might be the most attractive collective to make it to this point in the competition.

The only way it’d be a better looking class is if they somehow found a 25th spot for Cardin McKinney. Yes, I’m still bitter about her departure, even though her post-audition sound bytes weren’t exactly stellar.
I happen to think Kristy Lee Cook, Amy Davis, Syesha Mercado and Brooke White are particular aesthetic standouts. (Left-click on photos for larger versions or right-click them to open larger versions in other windows.)
