Kristin dos Santos is dropping some pretty iffy but exciting scoop for fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Kristin caught up with Thomas Dekker, who plays John Connor, and he sounded optimistic about the show’s return for a second season. That would be good news, since ratings haven’t been overly impressive over the initial short-season run. The show premiered to an NFL-aided 18.3 viewers but lost nearly 10 million of those by the time the finale aired.
Asked about any possible romance between him and Cameron (played by Summer Glau), Dekker is quoted replying, “wait until the second season, because some really great stuff is planned—all those questions will be answered!”
That’s hardly an official renewal, and the network is likely to remain mum until the May upfronts (when networks lay out their fall schedules for advertisers).
SyFy Portal quoted Executive Producer Josh Friedman a few weeks ago saying he was ready to start writing new scripts. The strike cut the show’s initial run from 13 episodes to nine, and Friedman hinted that 10th episode was a doozie.
