Well, kricka, I don't post the pix _just_ for you, but you cross my mind more than one when I post these pix... :-)

I agree on Jake. Like I said, I kind of felt like he didn't do anything even though he was there the whole time. I think you're right, though, that it's because his awesomeness has just made his leadership abilities so effortless... OK, I have to stop now.

But yes, Jake and Hawkins totally fill that Jack/Tony void. Sigh. Just one year away.

I have to think that you are putting those beautiful pics of Jake on the blog every week just for me! Hee!

So much WORD to all the awesomeness in this episode. Brad Beyer is my new acting hero. He pulled off scenes that could have been sappy, and made them heart-breaking, and made a potenially cold-blooded kill into an emotional minefield... I certainly didn't think Brad had that in him, and he has made Stanley a complicated, deep character in one episode. Kudos!

I think you may feel like Jake didn't do much because he has taken the role as leader on so well that he makes it all seem effortless. He was out in front of almost all the action last night, making decisions and kickin' ass right next to his Badass pal, Hawkins. They are my new favorite TV couple. Makes the demise of the Jack/Tony awesomeness on 24 feel a little less sad.

Stanley's farewell to Bonnie gave me chills; it was so deeply touching and so true to character.
Great episode in a great series. How the heck are they going to tie up ALL the loose ends in two more episodes?
As for John Smith, he is definitely not Beck. There is no way Beck could stop whatever he was doing -- in the middle of a military action no less -- to talk to Hawkins. I, too, think we haven't met him yet.

I agree with you, Amy anbd SaveJake, on a lot of different fronts: 1) Yes, Jake sure is purty, but beyond that, he still is the guy all of them rally around, and he doesn't have to do a thing to have people look to him as a leader. 2) Man, I would absolutely shudder to think I was on Hawkins' bad side. He's the coolest character I've ever seen. 3) Stanley, oh Stanley! Could you break my heart any more than you did last night? I was in tears during your goodbye to Bonnie. And I didn't think you'd actually pull the trigger on Goetz, and when you did -- what a shock! Brad Beyer deserves all kinds of kudos for showing some true acting chops last night! Incredible, incredible episode!!

Oh my...You took me back to Stanley signing good-bye and again I cried. I found that to be so heart touching and real. Also the way he believed Bonnie was a hero for saving Mimi and protecting her family. Incredible. Now for Hawkins, I knew he was going to take care of the guys from Ravenwood but it happened so quick and the snap of the neck. Well I had to think on that for a few seconds!
As for Stanley pulling the trigger...I didn't think he would. It will change him forever.
