Office memo: A growing concern in Accounting

So Angela Kinsey’s just getting pregnanter and pregnanter, as pregnant ladies are wont to do. That would have been a minor complication if shooting on the season hadn’t been interrupted and instead wrapped in early April as usual. But the post-strike return puts Kinsey, who is due in May, on the set during her final belly-busting months. Prior to her March 6 return, she had some ideas for how showrunner Greg Daniels should handle her.
I think there so many funny ways you can go. Like one thing I love is that she’s pregnant but she doesn’t acknowledge it. Phyllis could be all suspicious, and Dwight could be wigging out, and Angela’s pious like, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ And then the whole time Michael Scott would just think she’s fat. He’d be like, ‘Wow, what kind of diet is that?’ Maybe I’ll pitch that to the writers tomorrow!
TVGuide.com’s Matt Mitovich hears Daniels will just hide her behind filing cabinets and kitten posters. By the way, her husband just happens to be Warren Lieberstien, brother of Office writer/actor Paul Lieberstien, aka Toby Flenderson.
Ladies, your Valentine thanks you
Back on Valentine’s Day, EW.com readers named Jim Halpert the TV character they’d most like to date. John Krasinski appreciated the honor, even if he was a tad incredulous.
I’m truly honored. [Your readers] overrode every single primal and emotional instinct to choose me, so I appreciate them doing that.
The new boob tube
Back when the video iPod first came around, The Office was one of the first and most popular shows to show up on the small small screen. Even after NBC and Apple parted ways, the show remains a technological trailblazer.
A recent New York Times piece about viewing habits shifting from the TV to the PC mentions The Office as a major motivator for the trend. The number of people who watched last fall’s premiere online was more than a quarter the number who watched on air. That’s an impressive chunk of viewership eschewing the old remote.
The Office is on the leading edge of a sharp shift in entertainment viewing that was thought to be years away: watching television episodes on a computer screen is now a common activity for millions of consumers.
Laughing for a cause
Steve Carell and 30 Rock’s Tina Fey will be among a bevy of stars who’ll turn out to support a good cause next month when John Stewart hosts “Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit for Autism Education,” Variety.com reports.
The April 13 event will air on Comedy Central with streaming highlights at comedycentral.com. Headliners include Will Ferrell, Stephen Colbert, Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman.
Two years ago the New York event raised $2.5 million for schools for children with autism.
And here’s some videos that will make you laugh
Jim Carrey is a funny guy, but I don’t know if he’s funnier than Steve Carell. Here they shill for Horton Hears a Who.
I absolutely do not understand why Rainn Wilson was cast in such a bit part in Juno. He clearly should have won the lead role.

In the “Unscripted” clip, Steve Carell’s wearing that suede jacket AGAIN!
For those who didn’t see Brian Howard’s earlier Remote Access post about Carell’s recent appearance on the “Today” show, Meredith Vieira called him out on wearing that jacket for both her interview and the recording of his “Horton” character voice-over.
Actually, it’s endearing. Nice to know, like most of the non-Hollywood world, Carell has his go-to jackets. Carell rules.
