Kyle's super prom

Let me off by saying that I like Kyle XY a lot. I’ve watched it since the beginning and appreciate the cheesy high school-ness mixed in with the cool, dark, superhero-y sci-fi elements. Look — I chose to blog about Kyle XY. No one makes me.
Way too much prom, not nearly enough of anything — anything! — else.
The Lori-Josh dialogue, as has been the case of late, provided the most amusement of the night. Oh, and Kyle’s over-studying for the prom. Loved him watching Prom Night and freaking out.
Lori ticked me off, though, by not getting back together with Declan. What is wrong with her? I felt so badly for him. I just wanted to smack her. And was it just me or did Lori’s face look weird and very un-teenager-y in that scene by the limo?
Andy, who I usually love, just annoyed me, though Daddy Traeger’s scene with Josh and the condom was vintage Kyle XY amusingness.
Jessi got over herself and helped Amanda; the gang helped Kyle make the prom special for Amanda; Kyle floated himself and Amanda over the dance floor to keep her from getting her feet wet; she wondered how he does all the amazing things he does and he insisted she tell him something he didn’t know. Her response? “I love you.” Um, Amanda, try something that the entire rest of the world didn’t know? Blecch.
Warning: Spoiler coming up; don’t read if you didn’t watch, blah, blah, blah.
Then, finally, something happened! Amanda’s kidnapped, by Latnok. Foreshadowed, of course, by Foss showing up in the shadows at the high school during prom. Kyle sends him away; of course you shouldn’t have, Kyle!
Now, there’s no way that one of the Latnokians “accidentally” left ring behind. S/he obviously left it there on purpose so Kyle would know who took Amanda. Did they take her because she knows too much about Kyle?
And was Stephen’s TA, Mark, in on it? Is he with Latnok (or maybe Madacorp. The company still exists, remember?) and planted with Stephen? Don’t forget, he goes to UW and that’s where Adam and Sarah both went way back in the day.
Or was Latnok even involved in Amanda’s kidnapping? Was it Brian Taylor, ticked off about Foss sending him away, planting the Latnok ring (doesn’t he have one?) to make it seem like Latnok did it?
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Like I said, last night was, I feel, the weakest episode yet. I’m glad the show’s coming back for a third season (not sure when that’s airing), but I hope we get more Latnok and less high school, as we did the first half of the season.
Thoughts, anyone?

Last nights episode didn't really cut it for me either. BORING overall…however, the rest of the Season has been really good and I'm also glad it's coming back for a 3rd season.
