Kimberley Locke, the top female finisher from the second season of “American Idol,” chatted with me Thursday about her life for a story that will appear Tuesday in the Life & Style section of The Journal News.
Locke, as reality TV junkies know, also appeared on Vh1’s “Celebrity Fit Club” last year. Starting at 176 pounds, she lost 27 pounds in 100 days and famously clashed with Dustin Diamond, who played Screech on “Saved By The Bell” and made few, if any, friends on “CFC.” (She said she hasn’t been in touch with Diamond since and didn’t exactly plan to reach out to him, either.)
Since then, Locke’s kept up the battle of the bulge. She said she’s lost an additional 15 pounds to bring her weight loss total to 42 pounds since she started on “Fit Club.”
In the following audio clip, Locke says there’s no real secret to losing weight:
More clips from Locke will appear here and on Suburbarazzi until my story about her appears Tuesday in the Life & Style section of The Journal News—with a bonus clip on Wednesday—but I’ve posted a few already.
