Is a ‘Gossip’ guy gay?

“Gossip Girl” fans started buzzing over the weekend after TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello reported that one of the show’s male characters will be revealed as gay when the show returns with new episodes on April 21.
So let’s join the guessing game!
Will it be Serena’s lovebug, Dan? (After all, as Ausiello and devotees of the “GG” novels note, Dan played both sides in the books….)
Or perhaps Blair’s main man, Nate?
Or evil Chuck Bass, who’s known for his womanizing?
And don’t forget, there’s always….
Serena’s little bro, Eric!
Did we ever find out why Eric tried to commit suicide? Maybe I missed it, or perhaps this will be the reason?
Eric’s also rumored to be the show’s narrator/blogger, even though the voice of “GG” is provided by Kristen Bell.
However, as Ausiello also reported from a California’s Paley Fest, the show’s producer Stephanie Savage said Bell isn’t “who Gossip Girl is. Gossip Girl is a state of mind.”
Speaking of states of mind, it seems that one “GG” actress decided to expand hers.
Nan Zhang (above left), who plays Kati, one-half of Blair’s witchy sidekick duo, won’t be back on the show. As creator Josh Schwartz also revealed at Paley, Zhang enrolled at Brown University during the strike.
Except, uh, she didn’t tell anyone at “GG.”
No great loss though. I mean, how many of you actually knew which one of Blair’s well-dressed henchwomen was Kati? Did you even know her name?
Well, for the obsessed who keep track of these sorts of things, Nicole Fiscella (above, right) will now be Sidekick #1, otherwise known as Isabel.
