Fabulous. Hawkins has no idea how they’ll find the bomb. I love these guys.
That Cheyenne skyline looks awesome in a totally creepy sort of way.
So that’s Cheung.
New Bern’s going to join them. Russell’s right. Sometimes, the enemies of your enemies are your friends.
Look, I’m a Jeather fan, but there’s something cool about Emily with an automatic weapon.
God, I do loves me some Jake and Hawkins.
Smith!
I knew that Jake wouldn’t listen and would come out and save the day.
In a way, Constantino’s right. But he’s also wrong. The problem here is that these soldiers actually think their government is legitimate. The way to win is to reveal the truth.
Eric has a spine. Well, how’s about that. Good for him.
THEY CANNOT KILL HAWKINS.
Hawkins is completely right, but THEY CANNOT KILL HAWKINS.
Wow. Mimi manages to sweet-talk someone into doing what she wants instead of bullying them. (But when did Marlo Stanfield join the AS Army? lol)
Good for Gray, going home. Be a leader, man. Be the leader Jericho needs.
Beck’s going to tell them they were right.
I believe this government is corrupt at its core. Its actions are criminal and I no longer recognize its right to lead.
Hopefully, by the time Beck’s superiors decide what to do, Jake and Hawkins will have done what they need to do.
A Cessna vs two fighter jets?
OK, Chavez more than did his job. He got the Texas Air Force to protect Jake and Hawkins. AWESOME.
They’d better save Hawkins.
Fare thee well, Bonnie.
I love Mimi. Once upon a time, I totally hated her. But I love her now.
You rock, Heather. You may be a girl, but you’ve got a titanium-coated pair.
I think I see romance in Beck and Heather’s future. Unless his wife is still alive, that is.
I just got chills. (When Beck’s soldiers called him sir.)
Gray put up the Gasden flag! You rock, Gray. You might not be the absolute lamest mayor ever.
Save Hawkins or you have me to answer to, you Texans!
What an awesome last line.
How’s it feel, making history?
Yeah, Jericho fans, how’s it feel?
By the way, vote in the poll in our right-hand sidebar, give Stanley some love!
Plus, some finale-night linkage, after the break:
• Carol Barbee won’t give up the ghost. She tells SciFi Wire that “talks are ongoing” to find another network that’ll pick up the show. Apparently Paramount, which owns CBS and produces the show, has been the one doing it. She learned Thursday of CBS’s decision to end Jericho’s run on the network, but asked for 24 hours to tell the cast and crew. She also suggested that even if it doesn’t continue on television, it could become a graphic novel or even a movie.
• Carol Barbee gets around (in a good way!). She gave an interview to TVGuide. All you need to know is in this quote:
I think our fans have been amazing. Our fans are not professional marketers! They are people with lives who gave so much of their time and energy and money to keep us on the air. They did more than enough, more than their share. We could not be more grateful to them. There’s a limit to what a fan base can do when you’re trying to reverse a slide in ratings.
The second part of her interview will be available on TVGuide.com on Wednesday.
• Richard Becker closes his case study on Jericho, looking at what about Jericho’s fandom worked and didn’t and how the network sabatoged some of the fans’ best efforts, albeit unintentionally. But, perhaps most importantly, he says:
You see, Jericho Rangers are pretty great people when you get to know them. And I know for a fact that many of them don’t need one show to be great. They are great regardless. And much like no one can take away that these fans are responsible for the fastest cancellation reversal history or played a role in pushing television in a new direction, no one can take that away from them either.
• Jane at Jericho Monster lists the Top 10 things Jericho has done for her. I could echo most of her thoughts, not least of all No. 3:
Jericho has taught me about community. I’ve learned that a passionate group of people really can join together and change things.
• Jane also announced that her blog is evolving and now will strive to document the future of television as it relates to new media. Anyone who’s been reading her blog for a while knows that she has turned herself into an expert in the field just through sheer force of will.
• And, after initially announcing that she was hanging up her blogging shoes, Lisa/Kystorms has decided to forge ahead and keep her Jericho~On~CBS blog going, though it’s evolving. Lisa’s been an invaluable member of the Jericho community (and occasional guest blogger here on Remote Access!) and we say thank you for her work on behalf of an excellent show.

Oh I so hope they find Jericho another home. They still have a Civil War to fight and LOTS of places to go with the show. It did close out this chapter, but it still feels a little empty because it's just not finished. I'm so glad you couldn't wait to post your thoughts, I've looked forward to them every week this season! Let's keep our fingers crossed that you'll be doing this for Season 3 also!!
I'm glad that both Lisa and Jane will be keeping their blogs going! Woohoo!
I'm a little emotional right now, I'll be checking in with everyone tomorrow…
Awesome Awesome Awesome. What more can I say. Ive been on edge of my seat!!!!
Did anyone catch when CBS said next episode or was I hearing things ?
I know this show is done with CBS. They are mean to do that!
Off to bed..
Will read all your posts tomorrow,
Jericho rules!!!!!!!!!
"How’s it feel, making history?"
Anyone else expecting the next line to be "nuts!" ?
Amy, excellent post. You just keep amazing me. Thank you for the kind comments. You know, I hope, how much I admire you.
I am in no way ready to give up Jericho! I want to see Hawkins survive and go back to his family. I want to see what happens between Heather and Beck. I want to see weddings – Jake and Emily, Stanley and Mimi. There's just so much more story to tell. Please Carol Barbee, find Jericho a new home!
