Still hoping Larry David rolls a 7 — A small ray of hope for Curb’s return

That’d be a shame, because the whole concept of “going out on top” is a load of garbage, in my opinion. I say, if you’ve got a good thing, milk it until there’s nothing left. Milk it for every joke, every iconic pop cultural moment, every cringe and even for every dollar.
I mean, we’re talking about a TV show here, and a show that is still at the top of its game, for that matter.
So I got excited in November when I read this unsourced exclusive in The New York Post reporting David is telling friends he may do two or three more seasons. It’s still never been confirmed. This piece a few weeks later on Richard Lewis in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review got my hopes up again, even if it is not more than vague speculation by Lewis.
So naturally, when I caught this interview from the other day with Susie “bleepin’” Effman in New York Press, I took at as a ray of hope.
While Susie said that Larry has mentioned that Season 6 will most likely be the last, Susie provided fans with a small glimmer of hope, quipping that a gossip column snipe that his estranged wife’s career is getting bigger than his might inspire enough spite for a 7th season. Is that a hint, Susie?“I really don’t know what’s going to happen, though,†she shrugged.
It’s not much. But hey, it’s something.
