YES!!! Another V-geek from the 80s! I would love to see more of this story told, with a more modern telling, of course. Now that I think about it, the only other TV show that has captivated me as much as V did was, um, ... JERICHO! maybei, thanks for the RFJ post that alerted me to this!

I'm going to have to get the book from the library. I've never been big on books inspired by television shows or movies, but given that Johnson wrote it and came up with V the first time around, that probably makes a big difference. I've been meaning to get the original miniseries on DVD for a while now, but i might wait for blu-ray now. :-) or ask for it for Chrismukkah.

Thanks all for showing me I'm not even close to being the only V geek still around. And RP, thanks for that info about Kenneth Johnson. Just makes me like his work even more.

I was a total V geek as a kid. I own all of the incarnations (however cheesy the progressivly got) on DVD. I read the novel a few weeks ago (had it on preorder for months) and it was great. I emailed Kenneth Johnson to tell him how much I enjoyed it and he wrote back- TWICE! He's a very gracious person.

I so hope this movie makes it to TV or the theaters or somewhere. They've been talking about it for a few years now. Hopefully now that the novel is out, it will happen. I would love to see Kenneth back at the helm.
